life_4_rent	4:12p	The pot luck went really well. Everyone brought lots of good food and the grab bag was hilarious! I already put my WTF magnet on the back of my car. And I'm sure we'll play the game soon. I'm glad everyone had a good time. I feel like it was a lot more fun than going out to a restaurant...much more relaxed. =) So Maryland relatives aren't coming anymore Tuesday. We were all set to make reservations for dinner and they were all set to head up tomorrow. But my grandpa called us this morning and my grandma isn't feeling well at all today. She feels nauseous and can't even get out of bed. She would barely talk either according to my mom. Mom went over to do some laundry and clean up a little just because. Grandpa felt a little sick too so we wonder if they ate something weird or whatever...but Grandpa was feeling much better after moving around. He even went with my mom to the store to buy a walker for the two of them to use which is great because they need it every once in a while. It's just weird that they seem to take turns being off on days. One is always fine while the other falls apart. But my mom always says atleast they take turns...makes her life easier. I hope Grandma just feels better soon. I hope Aunt Janet didn't give them something when she was visiting. =/ So Aunt Carol & Uncle David will come another time...they're gonna find another few days to take off or something and come see us. It's just better to let Grandma and Grandpa get better first. (Even though I think it's better because then Aunt Carol won't go off about how they live and all the things my mom doesn't do to take care of them and how ah, they might as well take them back to MD to live with them because no one else will do anything. Basically, she would say things that would make me wanna possibly punch her.) I don't have a headache but it's got a dull achy feeling every once in a while. Lame. life_4_rent	12:07a	Christmas went well...got some cool stuff & it was pretty low key even with the big dinner and everything. I was happy that I got my new boots & I got some clothes. Brian got me antlers and a nose for my car hahaha. Only downer was that Mike's sick so I didn't see him on Christmas Day like usual. But I saw him today and we did our presents. He got me a VS gift card, chocolates, really pretty diamond studs, and a new case for my shot glasses. It's bigger than the other one and even has spaces for tall glasses which is perfect for the couple tall shot glasses I have. And his fire pit made him very happy. =) I'm pretty sure I'm going to the game with him tomorrow. Last regular season game EVER at Giants Stadium =( It's bittersweet. So that's at 1 and then afterwards I'll come home, get changed, make mashed potatoes and head to Kim's for our pot luck dinner. =) I'm excited that it's finally here!!! It feels like we've been waiting forever. The grab bag should be really amusing too hahah. I'm looking forward to the new year. It's a chance to leave behind all the things in my life that don't matter. I've learned a lot this year, about different things, and different people. And I've learned who and what to bother with and who/what is just a waste of my time. I wanna remove all the toxins and start fresh. I've let too many toxins into my life in so many ways. Everyone does...and the new year is a chance to wipe the slate clean. I guess that's it. I should probably go to sleep now so I can function tomorrow. life_4_rent	6:25p	Brought Shadow out into the snow today just to see what he'd do...he was cold after a little bit so I brought him inside. life_4_rent	9:51p	bullets - the 3rd grade show was so cute. They included me in the thank yous at the end of the show. The kids did such a fantastic job..I was really impressed. - visited the cemetary with Mom and grandma to put grave blankets on my grandpa's parents graves and my grandma's parents graves. I always knew where one set was but not the other. Now I know I guess. Eh... - First Steps was too cute. My favorite was the 4's and their New Year Countdown....10! 9! 7! 6! uhhh5oommmm4mm3mmmmmnnnHAPPY NEW YEAR!!! - NYC was so much fun!!! Cold. But fun!!! - Oh hey snow. - My brother is a moron...he's over by Kloudya right now. Hopefully on his way home. But God damnit. Has to go fucking see her in a storm. Ugh. - Okay he's on his way home. The roads are horrible. Wow. Good one Bri. - He's Just Not That Into You isn't that bad of a movie. - Shadow threw up again today due to eating more fake snow. I took it out of the front window and replaced it with white fabric so he won't eat it anymore. I don't want him to feel crummy...he cried this afternoon and then puked and looked so sad all day =( Poor baby. - My head hurts. - Ugh...shoveling tomorrow. But I know Mike's excited. Snow means $$$ =) - I'm extremely proud of him. He was one of the guys in the boat who saved the man who went into the Pompton River. I saw some pictures today. Really cool. lennonlives	3:33p	Yearbook! So my Drew yearbook came in the mail today! Lindsay hinted that the captions were not so disastrous this year. This, of course, is because there are almost no captions. This saves the yearbook people some embarrassment, but I'm actually disappointed. I wanted another spectacularly bad yearbook, not just a middling yearbook. Some things I noticed: - There's a nice (but grainy) pic of Tri-Beta inductions in the clubs section. Of course, Tri-Beta is listed nowhere in that section at all. Guess I'll just write that one in... - Lots of fabulous photos of Colin and Lindsay! Almost made me wish I had done more activities. Almost. - Lil Ania is not pictured on the Women's Soccer pages. The plus side is that they put the correct apostrophe on "Women's" this year. - It says Class of 2010 right before our portraits section. Shit, guys! We have to graduate again! - Just a composition note for whoever compiled the nice color photos in the beginning: Having a photo of some bland looking wet pavement with a leaf or two on it as the largest photo on a page is not the best stylistic choice. Doing it twice is...really boring. For my own satisfaction, I think I might take all the pictures from Facebook that piled up over the years and make my own personal yearbook in MS Publisher. I'll put the captions through a couple rounds of Babelfish translator (English-->Chinese-->German--->French-->English is a pretty good mix) and see what I get. A bowel of sweetness? My water bag? If it's good awful enough, I might even get a few copies printed up professionally, for laughs... (3 Comments |Comment on this)

life_4_rent	12:39a	Today (as in Thursday) is supposed to be 29 fucking degrees. That's horrible. Wtf. This is why I'm happy I've gotten into the habit of using body lotion everyday. Dry skin + cold = OW. Not like my hands don't hurt anyway from my cat wounds. Still have things to do for Christmas. Even though this year there is prob gonna be something to do everyday for Christmas. Mom and I cleaned grandma's house today. Don't get me wrong...my grandma cleans her own house. But her vacuum is broken, and in the basement, and she can't carry it upstairs. So she'll wipe down things and clean the kitchen floor and all that jazz. But mom and I did a hardcore vacuuming and dusting and Windexing and cleaning and all that. I cleaned the glass of the front door and after doing the outside of it everything got brighter haha. But now everything is nice and clean for when people come since they're all staying at grandmas. Aunt Janet comes Monday. I might be picking her up from the airport at 6:30am. Dad said I don't have to...he's annoyed because when she emailed us it went along the lines of "I land at 6:30am on Monday. Tell Miss Kelly to get off her butt and come get me." So pretty much, it's been decided I have nothing important in my life (because lord knows sleep isn't important) so I can go get her. I'll get her anyway probably. Because then I can inform her of my JOB on the way home. (which hopefully I'll start soon.) And then the others come on Christmas Eve. Shadow's getting shut in my room until every single person is in my house Christmas Day. I'm not risking someone letting him out. He's only 4 months old. I'm really upset at how un-excited I am for Christmas. And I apologize for the ranting. But it helps to get it out...so I guess thanks for reading. I guess it's true. You love to hate your family.
